Diodes Posts Big Jump in 4th-Quarter Net Income

Diodes Inc. reported net income for the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31 of $2.4 million, compared with $412,000 in the same period in 1998. Revenues rose to $23.2 million compared with $14.9 million the year before.

Net income for fiscal year 1999 increased to $5.6 million compared with $2.7 million last year. Revenues rose to $79.3 million, compared with $61.3 million for 1998.

Westlake Village-based Diodes Inc. manufactures high-quality discrete semiconductor devices and provides customer support to leading manufacturers in the automotive, electronics, computing and telecommunications industries. The company has manufacturing facilities in Shanghai, China, and Taipei, Taiwan.
