Man Dies When Car Overturns, Burns
A man burned to death on the Santa Ana Freeway on Monday after apparently losing control of his car just south of Magnolia Avenue in Fullerton, police said.
The man was burned beyond recognition when his 1986 Suzuki Samurai apparently went out of control about 8:20 p.m., hit a guardrail and burst into flames.
Passersby trying to rescue him were kept away by the fire, said Mark Reeves, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.
The accident is under investigation, he said.
