Technicolor Names New President of Worldwide Film Group
Technicolor in Camarillo, the world’s largest processor of motion picture film, has appointed Walter M. Schonfeld as president of the company’s Worldwide Film Group.
He will oversee all of the group’s film processing.
Schonfeld succeeds 25-year Technicolor veteran Ron Jarvis, who retired from his post Dec. 31. Jarvis will continue as a consultant for the company and has agreed to join its Theatrical Advisory Board, which is being established to advise the company on goals and strategies for the film group.
“Walter Schonfeld is the ideal candidate to continue the growth and globalization of Technicolor,†said Lanny Raimondo, the company’s chief executive. “He offers the depth and breadth of international business experience necessary to continue fueling the company’s growth and success.â€
Schonfeld is joining Technicolor from MCI WorldCom Communications, where for the past year he oversaw all of the organization’s international business development and alliance relationship efforts.
