Australia OKs Cardiac Science Bedside Device

Cardiac Science Inc., an Irvine developer of cardiac defibrillator devices and monitoring software, said Wednesday it has received marketing approval for use of its Powerheart bedside defibrillator-monitor in Australia.
The company said in a press release that it received approval from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Cardiac Science also said it sold 50 of the monitors to CS Australia Pty Ltd. for $333,500.
Shares of Cardiac Science, which reported revenue of $102,900 last year, closed Wednesday at $4.38, down 38 cents in Nasdaq trading.
