Undefeated Baylor Pulls Away, 79-55

Baylor muscled past USC, 79-55, at Waco, Texas, to run its season record to 9-0. The victory ended the Trojans’ five-game win streak and gave the Bears, who outrebounded USC, 52-32, the best start in the history of their women’s basketball program.

Danielle Crockrum led Baylor with 30 points and a team-record 23 rebounds. The Bears never relinquished the lead after going ahead, 17-15, with 10:50 left in the first half. Denise Woods led USC (5-3) with 14 points.
