El Toro Wins Tournament

Matt Green scored 21 points to help the El Toro boys’ basketball team defeat Desert Mountain of Arizona, 54-47, Wednesday in the championship game of the Bullhead City (Ariz.) tournament.
El Toro’s Ashkan Nazeri had 15 points, Chris Parish scored eight and each was named to the all-tournament team. Green, who also had 12 rebounds, was selected tournament MVP.
El Toro (14-0), the county’s third-ranked team, was 13 of 17 from the free-throw line. Desert Mountain (7-1) made all four of its free throws.
