Madeleine Albright has served the nation well as secretary of State under President Clinton. She was the first woman to hold this position and served admirably under very trying conditions and circumstances.
Gen. Colin Powell has served in the military most of his adult life. He did an excellent job as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and in coordinating the Desert Storm operation. However, his potential as secretary of State has yet to be developed.
