Patterson of Valencia Does Best Work in Fourth

Stephanie Patterson scored 10 of her game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter and Valencia High beat Littlerock, 60-57, Tuesday in pool play of the Simi Valley girls’ basketball tournament.
Valencia led, 31-25, at halftime, but Rashawna Mays scored 10 of her 19 points in the third quarter and Littlerock took a 41-39 lead.
Ashley Dehorney scored 16 points for Littlerock.
Rashae Minor had 12 points and Marissa Meadows had 11 for Valencia (9-3).
In other Simi Valley tournament games:
Hart 78, Alemany 53--Whitney Downen had 19 points as Hart advanced to the semifinals.
Amanda Patton scored 14 points and Brandi Kimble had 12 for Hart (8-3).
Mariana Wrightster and Tiffany Hawthorn each had 10 points for Alemany (3-5).
Hart plays Grant on Friday.
Canyon 63, Monroe 39--Ashley Palmer scored 18 points in a pool-play game for Canyon (9-4).
Amber Burgin scored 12 for Monroe (1-3).
