SEAL BEACH
Initial approval for grading and installation of water and sewer lines on the future site of 75 homes near the Bixby Old Ranch Towne Center was granted to Centex Homes by the City Council at its meeting Monday.
The housing tract was approved by the council in 1998 after it was determined that the area would be adversely affected by traffic resulting from any church facility on the land previously zoned for such use. A final vote on approval of the preliminary work is set for Sept. 11.
