NEWPORT BEACH
Organizers of the Corona del Mar Scenic 5K Race are seeking illustrators and graphic artists to design the poster for the June 2, 2001, event.
The design project is open to all artists, who are encouraged to submit works depicting Corona del Mar scenes and landmarks.
The artwork should reflect the sense of place of the seaside village.
The selected design will grace posters, fliers and T-shirts.
The race is in its 20th year, said Darin Loughrey, Newport Beach recreation manager.
It is sponsored by Newport Beach Community Services and the Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce.
