DANA POINT
The City Council has unanimously approved initial development plans for the expansion of the 11,400-square-foot Dana Point Library at 33841 Niguel Road.
The council’s decision includes $200,000 for the preliminary design contractor and a requirement that the city’s cultural community give its input before the design team prepares preliminary plans.
Library administrators say they need more storage space and that the building library does not have adequate room to expand technology such as Internet service.
