The city’s Public Works Department has won the American Public Works Assn., Southern California Chapter’s 2000 Public Works Week Community Outreach Award. The award was based on a video of the seventh annual Public Works Open House. The department was recognized for its advertising effort to publicize the open house and for drawing such a large crowd. The awards luncheon will be held Dec. 14.
