Habitat for Humanity is looking for low-income families to move into affordable homes available in the city. Applicants must be living in substandard housing, have a steady source of income and be able to make a 1% down payment on a no-interest 20- to 30-year mortgage.
Interested families must also be willing to contribute 600 hours of volunteer labor to help build homes or contribute in other ways to Habitat for Humanity’s programs.
