New Program Serves Latino Home Buyers

The Mortgage Bankers Assn. of America plans to launch a new Spanish-language home-buyer education initiative to serve the growing numbers of Latino buyers.
The program will educate potential home buyers about lending abuses, and teach them homeownership skills, including how to establish a good credit history.
The pilot program will target adults and students in California, as well as Alabama, Illinois, Massachusetts, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
