LAGUNA NIGUEL
Their message is simple: No jets at El Toro, now or ever.
To hammer that message home, the Citizens for Safe and Healthy Communities Yes on F group will hold a fund-raiser Saturday at the future site for Laguna Niguel’s skate park on Alicia Parkway, between Avila and Aliso Creek roads and across from the Chet Holifield Federal Building.
No Jets at El Toro Family Fun Day will begin at 9 a.m. with registration for a 5K walk, dubbed Feet First for Our Future, a 10K “run-scooter-ride†and a 20-mile cycling trip on the Aliso Creek Trail.
Prizes will be awarded to those who raise the most pledge money.
Participants can visit the organization’s Web site, https://www.eltoroairport.org, for more information and to print out pledge sheets, which are also available at the Safe and Healthy Communities office, at 25381 Alicia Parkway in Laguna Niguel.
