The Lake Forest company, which designs products and systems that collect data from industrial devices, posted a second-quarter net loss of $2.7 million, or 19 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $128,952, or 2 cents a share, for the 1999 second quarter. Sales dropped to $1.3 million from $3.8 million.
