The General Plan Coordinating Committee established four subcommittees during its meeting this week.
Committee members agreed to create subcommittees on land use, transportation, human services and open space. The subcommittees will begin meeting this month.
The public is being encouraged to participate and help create the city’s first general plan, a document that contains policies and guidelines for the city’s growth.
The overseeing committee will meet at 2 p.m. Sept. 25. The location remains to be decided.
