Horse Abuser Gets 4-Year Sentence
A 55-year-old Agoura man was sentenced Monday to four years in state prison on two felony counts of animal cruelty and two misdemeanor counts of sexual assault on animals, Deputy Dist. Atty. Martin Herscovitz said.
Daniel Bruce House, a carrot peddler who was arrested in June 1999 on suspicion of attacking several horses in the Agoura Hills area, pleaded no contest to the charges Aug. 11 at Los Angeles Superior Court in Malibu.
