Police Name Couple in Murder-Suicide

Garden Grove police Thursday identified a couple who died the day before in a murder-suicide pact.
Investigators said David Charles Zoellner, 79, and Kay Lenore Zoellner, 66, were each shot once in the head. They were found Wednesday afternoon on the patio of their apartment in the Valley View Senior Villas retirement complex after a caregiver arrived to drive David Zoellner to a doctor’s appointment.
A police spokesman said both Zoellners had serious health problems.
