Charitable Notions
Regarding “Hoteliers Know That When It Comes to Toiletries, Little Things Mean a Lot” (Her World, July 30): Yes, both my sister and I take the little goodies that one gets at even the less pricey hotels. I save the fancy little soaps for the guest bath. But both of us give the rest of the stuff--shampoos, lotions, shoe-polishing items, the occasional matchbook-sized mending kit--to local women’s shelters. All too often women, with their children, arrive with literally only the clothes on their backs.
