Jane Fonda
* I served in the 101st Airborne in 1966 and 1967. Where? Vietnam proper. My assignment: combat paratrooper/infantry. For the record, most so-called veterans did not see any combat over there. I earned my combat infantry badge.
I believe that Jane Fonda was right back then (“Fonda’s Hanoi Trip,” letter, Aug. 4). And I believe that our government was wrong. Guess what: History has proven that our government was wrong. Fonda went over there with peace in her heart. Henry Kissinger went over there to drag the slaughter of humans on and on. Who won the Nobel Peace Prize? Go figure. Hang in there, Lady Jane.
