Ballet Company Receives Donations

* Channel Islands Ballet received a $5,000 donation from the Point Mugu Credit Union. The money will be used to promote the ballet’s community Arts for Youth Program and improvements to its new studio at Cal State Channel Islands. The ballet also announced that Capezio of Canoga Park donated 150 pairs of pointe shoes.

Lutheran Social Services Given Grant

* The Thousand Oaks office of Lutheran Social Services of Southern California received a $2,500 grant from Swift Memorial Health Care Foundation. The money will help provide prescription medication, under the organization’s emergency assistance program, to clients who do not have health insurance.
