* While reading the terrific article, “Still Healing a Year After the Rampage” (Aug. 6), by Jeffrey Gettleman, I kept noticing the stunning photography accompanying it. The faces of each family express perfectly the painful recovery each individual must undertake, even one year after this tragedy.
I pulled out Life Magazine’s “Greatest Pictures of the 20th Century” to look at the haunting photo taken last year at the scene of the crime: Each child arm-in-arm, escorted by four armed policemen. Not surprisingly, it was the same photographer, David Bohrer. He really does make a picture worth a thousand words.
