Informix Restructuring

Informix Corp. announced a restructuring designed to streamline its operations and save costs, and said it expects to take a related charge of $75 million to $90 million in its third quarter as a result. The Menlo Park, Calif., database software maker will consolidate its five business areas into two: database business operations and solutions business operations. Informix shares rose 6 cents to close at $4.69 on Nasdaq.
