RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA
Tools are humming from constant use at Tijeras Creek Elementary, where more than 600 students are scheduled to begin the school year in September.
The new school, one of four being completed in the Capistrano Unified School District, will house kindergarten through fifth-graders. Those students will be transferring in from Arroyo Vista Elementary in Rancho Santa Margarita, Las Flores Elementary and Wagon Wheel Elementary in Coto de Caza.
Workers are preparing the landscaping and assembling furniture for the classrooms.
