The City Council will meet tonight to consider who, if anyone, on the council will write arguments for or against a November ballot proposal to increase the city’s hotel visitor’s tax from 10% to 12%. The council voted 3 to 2 last month to place the measure on the ballot. Voters rejected a similar measure to increase the tax to 13% in March. The council meets at 6:45 p.m. in its chamber, 11300 Stanford Ave. Information: (714) 741-5280.
