Taken for a Ride
We just returned from Las Vegas for a short vacation; we visit about twice a year. I think Southern California readers should realize that the amusement attractions at the hotels in Las Vegas are extremely expensive.
Take, for instance, the roller coaster at the New York-New York casino hotel. Although it is very thrilling, its price of $10 per ride is outrageous.
Compare this with a full day’s trip to Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park for $21 per adult (when purchased at Ralphs with a Ralphs Club Card). Knott’s rides are as good as if not better than the rides in Las Vegas, and you can ride them an unlimited number of times during your visit. Other local theme parks have similar deals for Southern California residents.
