Friday is the deadline to register for an excursion to Nevada for the Great Reno Ballroom Race. The Recreation and Community Services Department is sponsoring the trip, leaving Los Alamitos on Sept. 7 and returning Sept. 10. The trip includes accommodations at the Flamingo Hilton Hotel, two mornings’ admission to the race and bus transportation. Cost is $240 for double occupancy and $335 for single occupancy.
