Why should the NFL put/not put an expansion team in the Los Angeles area? Do you miss having a pro football team in Orange County?

I’d like to have a pro team in the area, so when I go pro I won’t have to move that far away. Right now, you have to go to San Diego to watch the Chargers and most people don’t like the Chargers. I haven’t been to a football game in a long time, because there are no teams here. I know a lot of people who would go watch games if we had a team.

I miss having a team here, but I didn’t really like the Rams or Raiders. I would like to see an expansion team--it would be fun to start new, develop a new fan base, without any stereotype of whether they’re good or bad. But the NFL wants to charge us, the taxpayers, money for what they want, and I don’t think that’s fair. I do miss the pride. I went to a Ram game when I was 9, and I’d like to go to another, but I don’t want to go to San Diego, San Francisco or Oakland--they aren’t my home town.

I really don’t think it’s that important to have a team in Los Angeles. I guess it would be exciting if a team did come here, but I don’t hear a big push for it. I don’t miss rooting for the Rams because I wasn’t much of a fan. I am a 49er fan and I always rooted for them when they played the Rams.

I think we need a team in the area. We need something to rally around in the community. It gives us something to focus on, to live for. I don’t necessarily miss the Rams or think we need a team back in Orange County. A pro team in the Southern California area would do.
NEXT QUESTION:
Would you consider becoming an official? If yes, what are the reasons? If no, why not?
