* A consultants support group will be held Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Gold Coast Small Business Development Center, 5700 Ralston St., Suite 310, Ventura. The free meeting will include suggestions on marketing, conducting engagements and forming a virtual organization.

* The Ventura County chapter of the National Assn. of Women Business Owners will hold a dinner meeting Oct. 14 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in Agoura. Speaker Dee Helfgott will discuss the effectiveness of power networking.
