Valencia 31, Oxnard 13--Manuel White rushed for 281 yards and three touchdowns in 36 carries to lead the sixth-ranked Vikings at Oxnard.
Valencia (2-1) scored on its opening possession when White capped a 43-yard drive with a five-yard run. Valencia extended the lead to 12-0 with 56 seconds to play in the half when Kyle Bauer threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Pedro Fernandez.
White scored on an eight-yard run early in the fourth quarter to give Valencia an 18-0 lead.
Oxnard (1-2) closed to 18-7 when quarterback Tony Williams ran one yard for a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter.
Bauer, who completed six of 12 passes for 111 yards, connected with Stephen Stokes on a 40-yard touchdown pass play to give Valencia a 24-7 lead. Bauer started in place of Zack Sapp, who was sidelined because of an ankle injury.
White capped Valencia’s scoring on an 80-yard touchdown run with two minutes to play.
James McCowan of Oxnard caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Williams with four seconds to play. McCowan had four receptions for 128 yards.
