Thousand Oaks 38, Camarillo 27--The former Marmonte League rivals combined for more than 800 total yards at Camarillo.
Kevin Ange’s 81-yard touchdown reception from Santo Riccobono late in the third quarter lifted the Lancers (1-2) from a 21-20 deficit.
Clint Wilson of Thousand Oaks rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns in 30 carries. Quarterbacks Riccobono and Ben Olson combined for 257 passing yards. Olson also had a one-yard touchdown run.
Mike Jasper of Camarillo completed eight of 16 passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns.
Loren Cerny caught a 14-yard scoring pass from Jasper and ran one yard for a touchdown in the third quarter to give Scorpions (0-2-1) a 21-20 lead. Cerny rushed for 178 yards in 28 carries but fumbled twice. He also caught four passes for 47 yards.
