Gabrielino High held Burbank to 154 yards and downed the Bulldogs, 14-0, in a nonleague game on Thursday night at Rosemead High.
The Bulldogs (1-2) played most of the game without running back Alan Gutierrez, who rushed for 382 yards in the first two games.
Gutierrez carried twice for seven yards before leaving with what Burbank coaches called sore knees.
Romeo Joudi of Burbank (1-2) completed nine of 16 passes for 61 yards and rushed for 33 yards in eight carries.
The Eagles (3-0) iced the game when defensive back Ernesto Ruiz recovered Omid Kianersi’s fumble and ran 28 yards for a touchdown with 6:20 remaining.
Gabrielino scored on a seven-yard run by quarterback Kevin Trochez midway through the second quarter.
Trochez rushed eight times for 45 yards and completed eight of 13 passes for 112 yards, with one interception by Edgar Guerra.
