Although the Conquistadors lost its top running backs to graduation, the best linemen returned.
They may not make headlines, but they make plenty of blocks.
“This is the best offensive line we’ve had in a long time,” Coach Rick Hayashida said. “They are all seniors, and they are our most well-conditioned kids.”
The top three linemen also play defense. Shaheen Jahangard can play center or tackle as well as linebacker. Eric Hultin and Manuel Gonzalez play guard and defensive line.
“We will win or lose with those guys,” Hayashida said.
