Villa Maggio, a former home of Frank Sinatra on about six acres in Pinyon Crest Estates near Palm Desert, is on the market at $2.1 million. The recently restored compound, behind gates, includes a main house, two-story guest house, pool house, pool and tennis court.

Sinatra built the 6,500-square-foot home in 1968, but only periodically visited it. He donated it to Loyola Marymount University in the early ‘80s. The school sold it to a woman who never lived there, and she sold it to a businessman from Japan, who bought it sight unseen and then never visited the house. The home was bought by the current owners in 1997.

Frank Jackwerth of Coldwell Banker Previews, Beverly Hills, has the listing.
