The Cypress School District’s Board of Trustees gave this month’s Above and Beyond Award to a volunteer at Margaret Landell School.
Donna Hardy of Cypress was recognized last week at the board meeting for organizing and presenting the idea of the spring carnival, which brought in $30,000 the first year and $15,000 the second.
The funds were used to buy playground equipment and air-conditioning for the multipurpose room.
