The City Council is seeking about $1.5 million in state and county funds for transportation improvement projects in two areas of the city.
Garden Grove is applying for $873,645 to spruce up sections of Harbor Boulevard and $625,000 for improvements to historic Main Street. The Orange County Transportation Authority and the state Department of Transportation make available about $6.2 million to selected cities for aesthetic enhancements and capital improvements every year.
