The City Council will vote Tuesday on whether to expand an after-school tutoring program and increase the presence of community support deputies in the city’s middle schools, according to a staff report.
The 5-month-old Task Force For Youth--made up of councilwomen Cathryn DeYoung and Linda Lindholm, representatives from the Sheriff’s Department, local schools and the YMCA--suggested expanding its youth programs after reviewing several similar programs in other Southern California cities.
The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers, 27841 La Paz Road. For more information, call (949) 362-4300.
