* Los Angeles-based California Beach Restaurants Inc., which owns and operates Gladstone’s 4 Fish, reported a fiscal first-quarter net loss of $160,000, or 5 cents a share, contrasted with net income of $85,000, or 3 cents, a year ago. Revenue fell 12% to $3.1 million.

* MRV Communications Inc. announced the resignation of Zeev Rav-Noy, chief operating officer, treasurer and director, effective immediately. Rav-Noy, who co-founded the Chatsworth fiber-optics company in 1988, resigned for personal reasons, the company said.
