The City Council will meet today at 4:30 p.m. to review proposals for a parking management plan for Balboa.
As part of the Balboa Peninsula Revitalization Project, residents began exploring the idea of controlling the community’s parking problems 18 months ago. After a number of community meetings, the main complaints surfaced as overcrowding and lack of clear parking signs.
The council will review 16 options. They include creating a visitor parking guide, chalk marking tires, increasing meter fees, developing an off-peninsula lot and extending the enforcement time to 8 p.m.
