The City Council will consider an amendment Tuesday to the General Plan that would allow construction of an office building in Westpark Village.
With the village’s development almost complete, city officials said that the remaining space allowed for new offices would have to be increased by more than a third.
The Santa Ana-based Griffin Realty Corp. submitted an application in August 1998 for a 61,497-square-foot office building on the corner of Barranca Parkway and Paseo Westpark.
The 4.68-acre site remains the village’s last parcel set aside for commercial use.
