Brea may be going to the dogs.
The Parks, Recreation and Human Services Commission took a field trip last weekend to four Orange County dog parks to research the possibility of creating a canine playground in Brea.
Dog owners in the community have expressed interest in having a place where man’s best friend can roam without a leash, Planning Commissioner Lisa Cabraloff said.
When the city developed its parks and recreation master plan about a year ago, residents surveyed said they wanted a dog park. Now city officials want to re-interview some residents to determine their interest.
The commissioners will submit a report to the City Council in about two weeks.
