Internet Company Is Serving Up Digital Coffee Break Alternative
- Share via
WireBreak Entertainment is launching its Web site today with four interactive shows aimed at 18- to 34-year-olds. The shows are meant to be consumed in small doses--a few minutes at a time--as a digital alternative to a coffee break, said WireBreak Chairman and CEO David Wertheimer.
The shows range from a news-inspired feature to the adventures of a Venice drifter to a women’s talk show. Some shows will present new episodes every day, while others will be refreshed every few weeks, said Wertheimer, the former president of Paramount Digital Entertainment.
Venice-based WireBreak’s online network will launch with Compaq Computer, Gillette and Showtime as charter sponsors, Wertheimer said.
