Mike Faria of Reno won the four-lap scratch main event of the speedway motorcycle racing program before 8,000 at the Orange County Fairgrounds. Charlie Venegas of San Bernardino placed second, followed by Shawn McConnell of Brea, Andy Northrup of Alta Loma and Gary Hicks of Riverside.
Venegas also won the handicap main event coming off the 50-yard line.
