Cleveland 30, Palisades 28--Edwin Roberson caught a two-point conversion pass from Eddie Whitaker with 28 seconds remaining to lift the Cavaliers at Cleveland.
Matthew Clark returned a kickoff 98 yards to set the stage for Roberson’s winning catch. Clark caught six passes for 85 yards and one touchdown, and scored the Cavaliers’ first touchdown on an 80-yard kickoff return that tied the score, 6-6, in the second quarter.
Roberson caught a 20-yard touchdown pass to give Cleveland a 22-14 lead with 8:40 remaining.
The Cavaliers’ James Bethea rushed for 117 yards in 20 carries and Whitaker completed 11 of 22 attempts for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
