Zagustin Being Sought After Failing to Appear for Jail Term
Elena Zagustin, whose filthy Huntington Harbour home was the center of a 15-year legal battle, was being sought by officials Thursday after failing to appear Wednesday night to begin serving a 30-day jail term.
Zagustin was supposed to report to jail after being convicted of various health and safety code violations. The Orange County marshal’s office issued a warrant for her arrest Wednesday for failing to make a separate court appearance related to a probation violation.
The warrants division is now handling the case, officials said.
Zagustin’s attorney, Anthony Cosio, said Thursday that he has not spoken to his client for a week.
