THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Thursday:
ANAHEIM
* Riverside Freeway at North Glassell Street: A motorist hit a bucket on the highway, lost control of his 1999 Toyota Corolla and spun out in the eastbound lanes of the freeway at 6:31 a.m. on Thursday. No one was injured.
BREA
* East Imperial Highway: A petty theft was reported in the 2500 block at 2:40 p.m. Saturday.
CYPRESS
* Katella Avenue: A person suspected of stealing a $9 jacket from a Ross department store was arrested in the 6000 block at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday.
DANA POINT
* Calle Verano: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 26000 block at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday.
FULLERTON
* Madison Avenue: A burglary from a 1988 Nissan pickup was reported in the 3000 block at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday.
GARDEN GROVE
* Marchand Avenue: A cabby was injured in a fight with an armed robber in the 9200 block at 4:50 a.m. on Sunday. During the struggle, the gun went off and injured the cabby in the hand. Police have no suspects.
LAGUNA HILLS
* Laguna Hills Mall: A reckless driver was reported in the 24000 block at 8:08 p.m. Saturday.
LAGUNA NIGUEL
* West Nine Drive: Deputies responded to a traffic collision in the 31000 block at 12:28 p.m. Monday.
LAKE FOREST
* Los Alisos and Muirlands boulevards: At 1:15 a.m. Saturday, deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations and for swaying into a bike lane. The driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.
MISSION VIEJO
* Costancia: Report of a loss of $24,000 in cash and jewelry at 8:50 p.m. in the 21000 block Saturday. The cash and jewelry were taken from a safe in a bedroom sometime between 3 and 5 p.m. Saturday. There was no sign of illegal entry.
ORANGE
* Lincoln Avenue: Shots were reported in the 15000 block at 9:51 p.m. Wednesday.
PLACENTIA
* South Lakeview Avenue: Two gunshots were reported in the 100 block at 1:27 a.m. Sunday.
SAN CLEMENTE
* Calle Escuela: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 300 block at 2:38 a.m. Wednesday.
* Calle Pescador: A report of a prowler in the 300 block at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
* El Camino Real: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 31000 block at 7:06 a.m. Wednesday.
* Paseo Verano: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 27000 block at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday.
VILLA PARK
* Hidden Valley Drive: A robbery alarm was reported in the 9000 block at 7:46 a.m. Wednesday.
* Churchill Lane: A robbery alarm was reported in the 18000 block at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday.
YORBA LINDA
* Via del Cuervo: Malicious mischief was reported in the 21400 block at 10:29 a.m. Sunday.
OTHER COMMUNITIES
FOOTHILL RANCH
* Carillon Place: A vehicle burglary was reported at 1 a.m. Saturday. A car was forced open, and a skateboard was stolen. No suspects were identified.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Thursday: Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin and Westminster.
