ENCINO — Someone who stopped at a Shell gas station in Encino is $24 million richer after the person selected all six winning numbers in Wednesday’s Super Lotto drawing, state lottery officials said .
The winning ticket with the numbers 8, 18, 26, 35, 40 and 47 was probably purchased sometime Tuesday morning, said lottery spokesman Ulysses Carter. But as of the close of business Thursday, no one had showed up at the state lottery’s Van Nuys regional office to claim the jackpot.
“This is typical of a single winner, who may not show up until a day or so later,” Carter said. “Either they don’t know they won or they are trying to seek financial advice.”
