O. C. BUSINESS PLUS : ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS : Quiksilver Quarterly Earnings Up 37%

Quiksilver Inc., a Huntington Beach designer and distributor of sportswear, snowboard wear and swimwear, said net income for the third fiscal quarter rose 37% to $5.6 million, or 24 cents a share, from $4.1 million, or 18 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales for the quarter ended July 31 increased 34% to $105.2 million.
