A group of residents asked the City Council on Tuesday to help prevent parents from parking on their private streets when dropping off and picking up children at a nearby elementary school. Residents on Wandering Lane said the traffic congestion poses a hazard to children. The cars have damaged property and disrupted mail and trash services, residents said.
Parents of children at La Madera Elementary School have parked on Wandering Lane for years, where a trail leads through a wooded area to the back of the school.
Homeowners asked the council to make parking permits required on the street.
